We are looking for an experienced video editor to join on a full-time monthly contract basis to work closely with the team with the day to day hands-on execution of creative and viral social media video content planning, posting and management.

We need a person with a go-getter attitude that isn't afraid of hard work and will treat the business as their own, showing initiative and creative flair. The candidate will need to be available to work mostly within Australian AWST hrs 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday, and be available to talk on the phone during business hrs. We are looking for someone that will be proactive and find solutions to help improve the overall social media presence of the company.

Responsibilities & Duties

General Duties:

Oversees the video platforms like YouTube and Reels account set-up and management, which includes producing weekly content.

Create a content plan for video posting that promotes engagement of our audience and meets social media followers KPI's

Receiving a brief, and maybe an outline of footage and/or a shot list, script for videos

Inputting uncut rushes and sound, and synchronising and storing them

Digitally cutting the files to put together the sequence of the film and deciding what is usable.

Reordering and fine-tuning the content to ensure the logical sequencing and smooth running of the video

Creating and editing videos that meet company needs and deadlines.

Carrying out project scoping and creating a clear brief to ensure you understand what is required.

Collaborate with the Marketing Team to discuss which sound and visual elements to incorporate with the copy.

Understanding your target audience (as you’re editing for their readers, you’ll need to know what interests them).

Identifying key messages. Understand what the main thing is that you want the reader to feel and do and communicate these powerfully through the visuals.

Working with creative teams to make sure that the visual elements of the webpage complement the words.

Assisting in other aspects of the creative or research processes to create cohesive, accurate content.

Update video content on the website including design

Check on social media trends, checking them from time to time on weekends.

Our Ideal Candidate:

Fluent in English (both writing and speaking)

Experience in Video editing - Vast knowledge on the use of editing software, animation, transitions and the making of professional-looking videos

A good sense of aesthetics and design of thumbnails, banners and visual content.

You have the ability to work in a team environment and work autonomously to achieve objectives within timeframes.
