AS PART OF THE HUMAN RESOURCES TEAM, the RECRUITMENT SPECIALIST IS responsible for achieving staffing objectives by recruiting, TESTING, evaluating AND PLACING job candidates according to the candidate's personality, aptitude, interests and abilities; advising managers; managing relocation and internship programs.

Essential Functions:

Establishes recruiting requirements by studying organization plans and objectives; Partnering with hiring managers to determine staffing needs;

Builds applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and internet sites; providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits; making presentations; maintaining rapport.

Helps prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to appropriate job sites, colleges etc.

Determines applicant requirements by studying job description and job qualifications.

Attracts applicants by placing job advertisements; contacting recruiters, using social media and job sites.

Helps arrange management interviews by coordinating schedules;

Construct tests and interpret results for the purpose of assessing applicants’ intelligence, personality, skills or other psychological attributes.

Meet directly with job candidates to conduct screening interviews, then makes recommendations to the hiring manager for further interviews.

Manages new employee relocation by determining new employee requirements; negotiating with movers; arranging temporary housing; providing community introductions.

Develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need. Build networks to find qualified passive candidates.

Create contacts within the industry. Maintain regular contact with possible future candidates.

Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting.

Performing reference and background checks.

Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process.

Promote company’s reputation as “best place to work”.

Help maintain quality talent by developing and enacting group-wide retention strategies; assess data related to departing employees to determine whether there are structural or group-wide reasons for staff vacancies; help develop strategies or make recommendations to reduce employee turnover and enhance employee quality of life.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Psychology, Human Resource Management or equivalent. Preferably a registered Psychometrician, with at least 6 months of practical experience.

Able to collect and interpret data-based measurements to demonstrate the effectiveness or failure of the recruitment system from position opening to onboarding.

Skills in database management and record keeping.

Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.

Gather and analyze information skillfully.

Working conditions: Occasional local travel.
