Company History

On July 1, 2003, an institution inspired to uphold the best interest of the Public Safety Sector in the country was founded. Following the initiative that the Philippine National Police should be a completely separate entity from the Armed Forces of the Philippines, and pursuant to Republic Act 8367 otherwise known as An Act Providing for the Regulation of the Organization and Operation of Non-Stock Savings and Loan Associations which states that the Association shall confine its membership to a well-defined group of persons and shall not transact business with the general public, the Public Safety Savings and Loan Association, Inc. (PSSLAI) was born and established.

With only 24 employees, 54 Million pesos in capital, and a ground floor office at the Kiangan Hall in Camp Crame, PSSLAI has grown into a Multi-Billion peso-worth company with 120 employees servicing more than 145,721 members NATIONWIDE.

Through the indisputable trust of its members and the dedication and exertion of its Board of Trustees, Management, and employees, PSSLAI today is top-choice NSSLA who remains committed in providing financial assistance and opportunities to Public Safety personnel through an extensive array of products and loan services with low borrowing rates and investment opportunities.
What is PSSLAI?
We are a non-stock, non-profit savings and loan association created mainly for the public safety personnel. PSSLAI, established on July 1, 2003 by virtue of Republic Act. No 8367, is recognized and regulated by the Banko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) and duly registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). We engage in the business of accumulating the savings of our members and using such deposits to extend loans and other benefits to our members. Our main objective is to provide the public safety sector, uniformed and non-uniformed, investment opportunities and immediate access to funds. We serve and protect those who serve and protect our communities.

Is it stable?

YES! Eversince it was established in 2003, we have provided the highest dividend to our members, i.e. up to 18% per annum, compared to other savings and loan associations. Almost 90% of our members are from the PNP and the remaining 10% of our members are from the public safety sector, i.e. BFP and NAPOLCOM. The PNP, BFP and NAPOLCOM are all established institutions of the country’s Executive branch and backed up by the Philippine Government. Our collection efficiency rate of 97.5% is the highest among all Savings and Loan Institutions. Hence, PSSLAI is definitely stable!
